Julia Dettinger, Co-fundraising, co-alumni relations

I served as an AMIGOS vol in 2002 in Bolivia and in 2003 in Nicaragua. I grew up in San Diego, live in New England for 7 years, moved to Seattle in September 2011. I have traveled to Bolivia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, Oman, Nepal, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, and Ireland. I studied at Mount Holyoke College -- Biology and Politics-- and the University of Washington-- Masters of Public Health, Epidemiology and Maternal and Child Health. At the moment I am a student, but I hope to work in public health program development and implementation. I enjoy biking, hiking, and travelling. AMIGOS made a huge impact on my life as a teenager, and help me form many of my beliefs regarding health and development abroad. It is important to me to continue to support organizations that have the ability to make sure an impact on the lives of teenagers.
