Maureen McKenzie, Co-parent Coordinator

As a young girl I knew that I wanted to live and work in Latin America. After I finished nursing school I worked for four years with El Salvadorans in Honduras and El Salvador. After my return to the states, I watched my nephews go through AMIGOS during their high school years and was very moved by the depth and richness of their experiences. My daughter also longed for an in depth experience that included living and working in a Latin American culture and took part in Amigos in 2008 and 2009. Her experiences continue to form who she is as a young adult. I believe in the work of AMIGOS.
